Cataract is the leading cause of blindness that can be cured.

A cataract is clouding of the lens inside the eye. It is common in older people, people with diabetes and those exposed to a lot of sunlight.
Common signs
- Blurred or foggy vision

- Colours look faded
- Frequent changes of glasses
Treatment
A short, safe operation replaces the cloudy lens with an artificial one. Most patients go home the same day. Come for an eye check to get advice.
