Phones and computers: rest your eyes with the 20-20-20 rule
Long screen time leaves eyes dry and tired. Simple habits that help every day.

When we look at screens for a long time we blink less, so eyes become dry, sore and blurry, and headaches are common.
The 20-20-20 rule
Every 20 minutes, look at something about 6 metres (20 feet) away for 20 seconds.
More tips
- Keep the screen about an arm’s length away and slightly below eye level
- Match the screen brightness to the room
- Blink often and drink enough water
- Children should play outdoors for at least 1–2 hours a day
